All bookings are subject to the Star Secretarial terms and conditions of contract, which are detailed below:

 

 

Agreement Form

 

A booking form detailing the work commissioned, together  with any special  requirements must be  signed and  returned to Star Secretarial before work can begin. 

 

 

Cancellations

 

We understand that it is  sometimes  necessary for an  assignment to be  cancelled.  Please provide us with as much notice as possible to enable us to find alternative work. Based on a full week assignment, we reserve the right to charge the following cancellation fees: -

 

1. More than 1 month's notice - no cancellation fee;

 

2. 2 weeks notice - £100;

 

3. 1 weeks notice - £150; and

 

4. Less than 1 weeks notice - £250.

 

 

Financial

 

The prices charged by Star Secretarial are detailed on our services page.

 

Work is charged in 15 minute increments (or part thereof) - subject to a minimum charge £13.

 

Star Secretarial  reserve the right to amend the original quote should the requirements change. In any event, Star Secretarial will notify  clients at all times if the quote is likely to  change and  will approve this with the client before  proceeding with any further work.

 

Work is accepted from the UK and overseas, however, all payments must be made in £ sterling.

 

Payment for mailshot postage and any stationery provided by Star Secretarial to complete a mailshot will be required in advance of the work.

 

Clients will be  invoiced upon  completion of assignment and  payment  should  be received no later than 7 days from the invoice

date.  If the assignment is a recurrent one over a period of weeks, Star Secretarial will invoice the client at the end of each week. Payment should be made in accordance with the invoice.

 

Should the bank return a cheque, then the client will be responsible for the respective charges.

 

 

Place of Work

 

Unless otherwise stated, all work will be undertaken on  Star  Secretarial premises.  By  prior  arrangement,  some assignments can be attended to on site.

 

 

Completed Work

 

All clients are required to proof-read work completed.  Errors will be rectified free of charge if  notified to Star Secretarial within 5 working days of completion. Amendments made as a result of client revisions will be charged for.

 

All clients will be responsible for the completed work and its use. Star Secretarial accepts no liability for errors in work provided

by the client to third parties.

 

 

Transportation of Work

 

Clients are not advised to provide Star Secretarial with original documents unless by prior arrangement.

 

Star Secretarial do not accept liability for any items which may go array in the post.

 

Star Secretarial distributes all items by email, fax or first class post as arranged with client.

 

Recorded / Special Delivery or Registered Mail / Parcelforce / courier can be used as appropriate in accordance with the client's requirements, however, extra costs will be billed to the client.

 

Documents should be sent to  Star  Secretarial via, post or email. Dictation tapes should be sent by post.  Should clients require such items to be sent via the specialised arrangements as above, i.e. Registered Post / courier, they do so at their own expense.

 

In  some  cases  it may be  possible for  Star  Secretarial  to collect / deliver work.  Any  mileage and  parking  costs accrued in collecting / delivering such work will be billed to the client.  Should clients wish to deliver work at Star Secretarial premises, they do so at their own expense.

 

 

IT Policy

 

Star  Secretarial  will  not  open  any  email  attachments  from  unrecognised  sources.  In  any  event regular virus checks are undertaken but it is the client's responsibility to carry out their own virus checks in accordance with their own IT procedures.

 

 

Confidentiality

 

Star Secretarial believes that confidentiality and trust is a fundamental key to a successful working relationship.

 

Client  confidentiality  will  be  maintained  at  all  times.  Star Secretarial will  sign any  relevant confidentiality or non-disclosure agreement for every project as required.

 

All work will be returned by email or on cd,  together with  hard  paper  copy so that the  client has  their work to  hand to put on

their own systems for for future use - negating the need for Star Secretarial to retain such information.
